The Savonarola Chair: an iconic chair that was named after a Renaissance era priest Girolamo Savonarola, after it was found in the convent of San Marco in Florence during the 15th century.
This Italian pair are from the 19th century - circa 1880's - with the walnut frame and backs intricately hand-carved, with aged dark brown leather studded seats.
Sold as a pair.

A lovely aged patina on the leather. Some wear consistent with age. Overall, in beautiful, rustic condition.
