A richly embroidered collector’s piece in a rare golden ochre palette
This stunning early 20th-century silk shawl, sourced in London, features a warm golden-ochre ground embroidered with pastel blossoms in rose, lilac, blue, and celadon. The floral work is exceptionally detailed, creating a painterly effect across the silk.
Measuring approx. 140–150cm square (excluding fringe), the shawl is generously sized and finished with a long, hand-knotted fringe that gives it beautiful weight and movement.
This colourway — golden ochre with multicoloured blooms — is one of the most collectible in antique embroidered shawls. Highly decorative and statement-making, it can be worn or displayed as an art textile.
