Designed by the Porsche family, this rare, post-modern recliner exudes style, organic forms and comfort.

The Antropovarius reclining chair was designed in 1982 by German born Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, for the iconic Italian furniture-maker Poltrona Frau.

Ferdinand was the son of Ferry Porsche, and grandson of Ferdinand Porsche, and is best known as the designer of the first Porsche 911 in the 1960's. Whilst his father and grandfather were engineers, Ferdinand was involved in the appearance of the product.

This chair was designed in collaboration with the Institute for Ergonomics at Munich University and features a series of adjustable 'spine' elements for comfort and support. The chair reclines using a side joystick lock-and-release mechanism.

Top grain white leather upholstery sits on the steel base.

A German-designed, Italian-produced chair, this is a sleek and classy piece that will be one of very few in Australia.

These are priced around $10-18,000 elsewhere.
