An extremely rare set that you may never see again in Australia.

A set of 6 original and authentic Jacob Kjaer Dining Chairs from the 1930's.

Jacob Kjær (1896–1957) was a Danish furniture designer and cabinetmaker, who completed his training in Berlin and Paris and exhibited works at the Barcelona World Exhibition in 1929.  Inspired by classical English style, his designs are characterized by their simple, clean forms that are, nevertheless, modern in their interpretation.  Kjaer used only the finest materials and crafted them himself - highly unusual at the time.  He is considered one of the finest Danish designers and did much to enhance the reputation of the Danish furniture industry.

It is likely that these were crafted in their very early workshops.

These are solid Oak and possess original cream leather studded seats.  Each chair has square sectioned legs with H-stretcher support.

A set of these chairs demand high prices elsewhere, ranging from $25,000 to $46,000.

This set will only increase in value, and would make a timeless addition to your home.
