A spectacular Moroccan Boujad Berber rug, hand-knotted in wool and purchased in Marrakech.
Large in scale and wonderfully tactile, this one-of-a-kind rug is alive with colour, featuring an expressive palette of aqua, turquoise, cobalt blue, lilac, burgundy, pink, mustard, green and cream. The abstract geometric pattern has an organic, almost painterly quality, with irregular shapes and bands flowing across the rug.
The front features a thick, shaggy wool pile, giving the rug a wonderfully soft and substantial texture. The reverse is more tightly woven, while traditional hand-twisted cream wool fringe finishes one end.
Its generous proportions and considerable weight give it a beautiful presence in a room - ideal for a large living space, bedroom or layered, eclectic interior.
