Vintage Sculptural Woven Outdoor Chairs - Pair

A striking pair of vintage sculptural lounge chairs, featuring beautifully curved frames and an intricate woven construction.

Their generous proportions, low profile and organic form give them a wonderfully relaxed, almost architectural presence. The aged timber tones and natural patina add to their character, while the open woven structure creates an unexpectedly light visual quality despite their substantial size.

Each chair is constructed from numerous individually shaped strips, woven and secured around the curved frame. The result is an expressive, highly tactile design that looks particularly beautiful in an eclectic, mid-century or relaxed contemporary interior.

The chairs have been left in their original, aged condition, retaining the wear and patina that comes with age. There are areas where the woven binding has loosened or unravelled, as shown in the photographs. This has been reflected in the price. They could be enjoyed as they are for their wonderfully imperfect vintage character, or restored by someone wanting to undertake the work.
